Mt Eden Village Centre In February
Happy New Year from all of us at the Mt Eden Village Centre! It’s February already and we’re happy to say our dance, language, meditation, baby and drama classes and support meetings are restarting.
We also have the first Craft Market and Wellbeing Market of 2020 for you to enjoy… and mark your diaries on Saturday 7 March 10.00am to 1.00pm for our much-loved Little Day Out children’s day.
On Saturday 22 February we are excited to host singer Marina Bloom for her “Back Where We Started” Album Release Tour. Marina will be performing an intimate stripped-back set including brand new material from the new album as well as fan favourites ‘Heroes’ and ‘Seven Seas’. Described as ‘World Melodic Pop’, Marina Bloom’s heart-felt music is a broad mix of pop, country, soft rock, electro-dance and ethnic with the weaving of her Russian heritage into her music making it spell-binding to witness. Tickets are on sale here and her new Album is on Presale here.
We’ve fielded loads of questions about Yoga classes here in 2020 and are so pleased that Annia will be bringing Waves Of Sattva to the Village Centre for a February pop up trial. Annia has completed 500 hours of training at the Sattva Yoga Academy in Rishkesh, India, and is looking forward to meeting Yoga enthusiasts and newbies in our community. Discover and experience the deeply transformational and holistic wisdom weaved in the Waves Of Sattva from the ancient sacred Vedantic and Himalayan Yoga practices. These are designed to transcend the mind and master energy through hatha vinyasa flow, breathwork, kundalini energy work, sound, mantra, meditation and free movement, giving access to a greater sense of vitality and aliveness to meet life and experience bliss. Come along on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6.00pm, and Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9.30am during the month of February (ex public holidays) and support Yoga with Annia so she continues through the year! More information is available on our Facebook page and classes are an introductory $15.
How about also trying out one of our adult dance classes this year? Swing Out Central start Monday 10 February and teach Lindy Hop, a vintage partner dance set to swing jazz music. Street Swing have already swung into it for the year and they teach West Coast Swing every Tuesday evening here at the Village Centre. For both classes, just bring yourself; you don’t need to bring a partner and you don’t need any dance experience. Facebook Swing Out Central and Street Swing for more information.
