Mt Eden Village Centre In October
It’s Auckland Heritage Festival time this October and we welcome you to our beautiful heritage buildings in Mt Eden Village. The community comes together to participate in a variety of concerts, markets, classes and events in the iconic
Mt Eden Methodist Church complex now also known as the Mt Eden Village Centre. The Church itself was built in 1900, the Hall added in 1910, with a Link addition and renovation in 2011.
Another icon is Kiwi music legend Harry Lyon, who is playing an intimate show presented by Village Music on Friday 18th October. Harry was co-founder, guitar player and songwriter with NZ Hall of Fame band Hello Sailor. His set will feature Sailor favourites, songs from his back catalogue and of course some from his critically acclaimed Top 10 solo album “To The Sea”. He will be joined by Tony Waine on bass and Josh Sorenson on drums. Tony is an APRA Silver Scroll winner and founder of award-winning kiwi band The Narcs. Josh is an in-demand drummer and respected music educator who has played, toured, and/or recorded with a veritable who’s-who of NZ music artists. Concert starts at 8.00pm, tickets are $40.00 and the venue is BYO. Buy your tickets here.
